Sometimes a call to service is hard to ignore. The group discusses the catalysts that led to their decision to accept interim dean posts. Interim dean terms of service are indefinite and may lead to a future deanship or a return to the faculty. Discussants explore the motivations for service and the skills developed in serving through crises.
